what good lighting can do!

thanks to a good friend Tiffany, we surrendered Blake to a couple of hours of photography. we shot at Roger William's Park Zoo. these shots look so calm and posed... soo not true if you were there....

a long hike, seasonal gardens, halloween... ahhh, the Fall

i am sure i am not alone in this... but, i love the fall. and, since our weather is ever changing, when it’s perfect, it’s really prefect, like my one token basket of mums, my blurry pic of halloween night, and my favorite pumpkin. we look a walk in lincoln-woods park, and i was blessed by this pic of blake reaching for his leaf that he had captured. also, my very small side garden looks so enchanting with my collection of antique garden tools.

a few interiors…

here are some interior shots that i like. of course, the studio. and, loie fuller restaurant on the west side of providence... perfect art deco interior, and fabulous food. sadie took me there for father’s day, yum! our bedroom... and our dining room.

perfect places

here are a few places i have visited, locally, and they have captured my attention. places that i always want to be near. these places are really beautiful and look even better in a pic. Lincoln Woods Park, Crescent Park, and Chepachet RI.

inspired by Blake...

here are some things that just make me smile. objects that i have bought for my son blake that are secretly for me.

what i like right now....

the things that i am interested in at this time tend to be less "antique" and a bit more modern. although, i am a sucker for things old and of historic value, i just don't want my surroundings to look stodgy. we all know that modern is "in" but, living in a totally minimalist home is not practical with children. anything slightly distressed is a winner with me:)
